The trilateral talks, alongside the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation among the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Clare Hall of University of Cambridge and Hong Kong Financial Association was held at UCASS on December 12th, 2019. Organized by the International Exchanges and Cooperation Division, the trilateral talks resulted in constructive exchanges among Prof. Zhang Zhengwen, President of UCASS; Prof. David Ibbetson, Regius Professor and President of Clare Hall of University of Cambridge, and Mr. Michael NGAI, Chairperson of Hong Kong Financial Association and Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Prof. Zhang Bo, Vice President of UCASS; Dr. Marie Jansson Jones, Development Director of Clare Hall of University of Cambridge, and other representatives of the association delegation also participated.

While introducing UCASS as a research-oriented university of humanities and social sciences, Prof. Zhang Zhengwen highlighted the strong commitment of UCASS to international exchanges and collaboration, with internationalization already grown into the hallmark of UCASS. The newly signed trilateral MOU will mark a fresh new start for collaboration in education and research activities. Throughout the discussions, Prof. David Ibbetson and Mr. Michael NGAI also shared their expectations for the trilateral cooperation, indicating their aspiration to roll out in-depth cooperation by well-thought-through design and procedures. Going from strength to strength, the partnership will allow each side to build synergies through joint teaching and research programs in response to the fast-changing world and better cultivate all-around top-notch talents.

The event climaxed with the signing of the trilateral MOU by Prof. Zhang Zhengwen, Prof. David Ibbetson and Mr. Michael NGAI and their exchange of gifts in commemoration of the special occasion.
